I had an exceptional stay at RENASE. Joanna is one of the friendliest and most helpful hosts I’ve came across in my six months travelling South America. She is a bird enthusiast and we went birdwatching around the reserve; she also offered local Amazonian juices & drinks for me to try. Breakfast exceeded expectations and the lodge itself is beautiful, being set within the jungle and built using a traditional bamboo structure. It is located just off the road and easily reached by bus from Leticia. Joanna helped organise my tours and was always on hand to assist. Couldn’t have asked for anything better, in fact I wish I could’ve stayed longer.

Perfect location, the room was clean and tidy. The staff was really helpful and attentive I had to extend my stay and everything went smoothly. Heads-up to the guy in reception for helping me with the boat to Iquitos.

I had a useful and reassuring WhatsApp connection with Wanda before my arrival. I enjoyed my stay in this magic place. I was expecting that already from the pictures. I loved the cats and the dog, all so friendly, and even a chicken. I slept in the hammock, in preparation for the slow boat trip to Manaus. Wanda gave me useful info for it.

It's a cery beautiful home and the host was very helpful and caring. Maricela tried to help us with our travel plans and gave us a lot tips and contacts to help us. The pool was really amazing in this hot weather. The room and the bathroom was clean. The area was 15min walk from the center. So it was calm and good to relax and get a good night sleep.

La Ceiba is a magical place run by warm, smiling, and helpful people. Staying there is not just about accommodation – it’s a true experience that lets you embrace the spirit of the Amazon. The hotel also offers tours, giving you the chance to fully explore the wonders of the jungle and the Amazon River. I rarely give a 10/10 rating, but this place absolutely deserves it. We spent 4 unforgettable days there, and I am certain I will return. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a unique and authentic experience.
