We loved having access to snorkels and paddleboards, which allowed us to fully enjoy the crystal-clear waters and vibrant marine life. It was a blissful experience that we’ll always cherish. Highly recommend this paradise to anyone seeking relaxation and adventure in a breathtaking setting.

La Loma Jungle Lodge and Chocolate Farm ofrece vistas al mar y se encuentra en Isla Bastimentos, a 10 km de la localidad de Bocas. Staying at La Loma Lodge was nothing short of magical. The lodge is beautifully tucked away in the rainforest, surrounded by vibrant wildlife and the serene sounds of nature. The accommodation was stunning — open-air, thoughtfully designed, and deeply connected to the environment. Every detail feels intentional, from the comfortable beds to breathtaking views of the forest, to having privacy from other rooms, to having two hammocks, to toilet paper holders ;). It’s the perfect balance of charm and comfort. The food and drinks deserve their own spotlight. Most ingredients are grown right on the property (even the pepper on the table and hot sauce are so), and every meal (and also the non-alcoholic drinks) is fresh and absolutely delicious. Dining at La Loma is more than a meal — it’s an experience and you’ve even got the best view of the bay ever from the restaurant. But what truly makes La Loma exceptional is the people. The hosts and staff are welcoming, passionate, and incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife and chocolate farm. Their care for sustainability and respect for the environment shines through in everything they do. From hiking through the cacao farm and learning about chocolate-making to trying different local fruits and spotting sloths right from the restaurant, every moment was unforgettable. If you’re looking for a place that’s more than just a stay — a place that connects you with nature and leaves you feeling inspired — La Loma Lodge is it. Without a doubt, one of the most remarkable travel experiences we’ve ever had. Make sure you stay a bit longer than we did, one night was definitely not enough.

Ubicado en Bocas del Toro y con Carenero Beach a pocos pasos, Casa Acuario Boutique Hotel tiene servicios de conserjería, habitaciones libre de alérgicos, una zona de playa privada, WiFi gratis y un... The attention to detail and way the rooms and hotel grounds were carefully curated was so unique and beautiful. You could tell a lot of time and effort goes into making sure guests have a unique experience, and I surely did as part of my stay. The location was perfect and easy to get to the main island and other islands within Bocas - not to mention the views over the water were insanely beautiful. The breakfast options in the morning were terrific and all the staff were so helpful and thorough in their duties . The owners were amazing and helped with suggestions on activities, transportation, and overall everything that you needed to know to have a great experience. They were super friendly and helpful, and they made my experience so much better by being just really good people. I’ve already recommended Casa Aquario to friends and family, and I look to go back again in the future. 10 out of 10 experience.

Establecido en Bocas del Toro, a 13 minutos a pie de Istmito, Pineapple House ofrece hospedaje con un jardín, estacionamiento privado, un salón compartido y una terraza. Me gustó que las instalaciones funcionaban muy bien, la ducha tenía buena presión y agua caliente, el aire acondicionado funcionaba muy bien, la amabilidad de Mabel y sus recomendaciones nos sirvieron un montón!

Establecido en Bocas del Toro, Beverly's Hill Guest House cuenta con un jardín, terraza y WiFi gratis. Quienes se hospeden aquí pueden disfrutar de vistas al jardín. This lovely place is located on the island of Bastimentos, less than 15 minutes away from the main island by speed boat. It has great views of the ocean from any of the cabinas! I had the best view from my private cabina with a private bathroom. I loved the abundance of fruit trees available (starfruit, banana 🍌, coconut 🥥). My cabina was spacious, and I love having windows 🪟; there were 3 in my cabina, and one was over the bed that opened completely to the freshness of nature. Simon is very nice and welcoming. He helped me tremendously when I needed a little cash until I got back to the mainland. He was attentive to other requested needs of fixing the plumbing and cleaning the kitchen when I suggested it. Simon suggested I visit Playa Estrella by bus, which was very affordable ($5 round trip). It was a lovely day spent there, and I saw 6 starfish. I ate the best meal of the five nights I spent in Bocas - the best red snapper of my life, and I could actually taste the coconut milk in the Caribbean rice & beans with a nice fresh salad 😋 from the first restaurant after you exit the bus 🚌. I love Florindo, the maintenance guy! He was very helpful to me with whatever I needed. If you see a Jamaican lady (Chi-chi) selling Plantain tarte from her porch, you should try some. She's kept her grandmother's original recipe, and it's been the best I've ever eaten. She only makes them a couple of times a week, so get it when you see her. Also, there's an Indian woman who you may find sitting at the bridge near the Jamaican's home selling coco bread; it is also delicious 😋. I wished I'd bought the entire pack.

Ubicado en Bocas del Toro y a 7 minutos a pie de Istmito, Hostal Bocas Tropical Paradise cuenta con una terraza, habitaciones para no fumadores y WiFi gratis en toda la propiedad. Quiet, clean, comfortable with plenty of nice little touches like a three-tiered bathroom caddy for toiletries, and a kitchen cloth. Coffee maker was well used, especially given the quality of the Chiriqui coffee. There's a supermarket literally just on the corner to the right when you come out the building. It is larger than most and stocks fresh fruit, veg, meat, breads and the usual tins and packets etc. Also has 1 gallon bottles of water for $2. Leave the rubbish bin outside the door to be emptied each day; towels and bedding were changed during our stay. Everything was clean and worked. We liked it so much we extended our stay for another 4 nights.
