This was our second visit to Mailagama Cinnamon Residence and we were truly happy to see again the owners of the hotel, Indira and her husband. The hotel is located in a picturesque place among green rice fields. We loved walking around the area - there are large lakes nearby, and there are few people around, but an incredible number of peacocks. A real kingdom of peacocks. The room was clean and spacious, with a balcony with a great view. There was also a big shared terrace to work online or to do yoga. The fans helped to cope with the heat, which was important for us. We really liked the Srilankan food at the hotel - delicious and served with great elegance. Manager Inbaraj was always attentive and helped us with any questions. On his advice, we visited two temples - Rock Temple where you can see dozens of funny monkeys and Kataragama Maha Devalaya. Both places are interesting and atmospheric, especially the latter, which is famous for its festivals throughout the country. We hope to come back here next year to see the beauty of the nature and to feel the special friendly atmosphere.

Everybody should stay here, I wish I could stay in this little paradise forever!

Una caminata que te llevará todo el día, 6 horas para ascender (con sus paradas para refrescarse y tomar un agua de coco), y 4 horas de descenso. Para un paseo corto, hay un mirador a 30 minutos caminando desde la propiedad, que está muy bonito. También está muy bien ubicado para hacer una parada yendo o regresando de Arugam Bay y disfrutar de una cena 10.
