Gihan and his wife truly care for all of their guests, looking after their wellbeing and also allowing for independence and privacy. It felt to nice to be well cared for, especially when traveling alone. Gihan can help arrange tours and activities and will take you himself in his Tuk Tuk when available. They have bikes for hire and I enjoyed riding all around Anuradhapura a couple of times. Their food is amazing! In the past they owned a restaurant and it shows. A huge variety and the best food I’ve had in Sri Lanka. I am gluten intolerant and they were very accommodating to my diet. You can tell they care a lot about their business, investing in it and caring for their clients. Extend your stay, you won’t regret it. There’s much to see In Anuradhapura and you’ll not want to leave Corner Cottage.

The owner has used his artistic skills to make this one of the most enchanting boutique property anywhere. The breakfasts were delicious and the location is a short tuk tuk ride to the lake, downtown and nearby restaurants. Even comes with a small pool to cool off in on those hot days. At the guest house, units come with bed linen and towels. We had such a wonderful stay at Yashi’s place. It was clean and comfortable. Harsha went out of his way to make our stay special and as comfortable as possible. His family was so lovely and friendly. We had a delicious dinner cooked by his wife and a scrumptious breakfast every morning. The location is perfect - a short tuktuk ride to all the main attractions (pidirungula rock and lions rock - which Harsha helped us arrange for reasonable prices) and the main strip of shops. We were delighted to catch the peacock on the roof! There are also lots of cute little squirrels on the property. An added bonus is Mr Caffeine just down the alley which has great coffee. Highly recommend staying at Yashi’s place.

The property has mountain and city views, and is 2.6 km from Bogambara Stadium. Kandy City Center Shopping Mall is 2.8 km from the guest house and Kandy Royal Botanic Gardens is 3.7 km away. The rooms were spotless, and having power adapters available was a lifesaver. The free laundry service was a nice bonus. Yamma, the owner/manager, was incredibly kind and always available to help. Highly recommend this place!

The traditional restaurant at the guest house serves Asian cuisine, and is open for dinner and lunch. Such a lovely place! Quiet, surrounded by rice fields, and breakfast in a beautiful garden. The room was comfortable and clean. The two members of staff were so helpful and arranged transport to the sites. Food was excellent. I thoroughly recommend!
