Ideally set in Kilkenny, Butler House offers an à la carte breakfast and free WiFi. This guest house provides free private parking and a 24-hour front desk. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. The room was lovely and big, bathroom was huge, down a few steps but no problem to us. We had asked for a room with a bath and they had no problem doing this. 3 of us in 1 room but they had 3 of everything. Breakfast was perfect and a really good selection. Staff were so nice.

Housed in an 18th-century property and located beside a 13th century tower house, this historic building offers guests well-appointed guestrooms, many with original period features. Each room has a multi-channel TV, tea/coffee making facilities, complimentary WiFi, modern en-suite facilities and a hairdryer. I liked the way the room was set up. It had a convenient writing desk, place to hang my clothes, and very comfortable bed. The heat in the room was perfect. The warm drying racks in the bathroom kept the towels dry and warm. The room was on the main level, so I could easily access it with my suitcases.

Located next to the Aviva Stadium, in the leafy suburbs of Dublin’s Ballsbridge district, this beautiful Victorian house offers stylish bedrooms and a sumptuous breakfast menu.

The Dining Room serves traditional and continental breakfasts, which feature homemade chutneys, banana bread and scones. Afternoon tea can be taken in the elegant Drawing Room. This fine establishment maintains all the charms of a traditional manner house, yet the interiors of the guest rooms are all refurbished, modernized, clean, neat, and beautiful. All the staff members are friendly and helpful. We stayed a total of 4 nights here and enjoyed our stay very much.

Conveniently close to my office which worked out perfectly. Wifi has a strong connection.

Riverbank Arts Centre is 8.5 km from the guest house, while Athy Heritage Centre-Museum is 22 km from the property. Dublin Airport is 59 km away. The room and bathroom were beautifully decorated. The shared lounge is spacious and the kitchen is well equipped. We didn't interact with staff in person but Rachel sent helpful instructions about the property and everything was clear. It is not easy to spot the entrance from the road, so use the Eircode provided.

Central House, a property with a bar, is situated in Shillelagh, 23 km from Altamont Gardens, 28 km from Leinster Hills Golf Club, as well as 31 km from Carlow College. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the guest house free of charge. The property is non-smoking and is located 17 km from Mount Wolseley (Golf). The building is historic but my room was either new or rehabbed and it was fresh and clean and decorated really cute. There is a bar on premises which was nice and so convenient. Sean was a great host-very welcoming and friendly. Made me feel like a local which was great as a solo traveler. He had a breakfast room which was decked out with many different breakfast choices perfect for hikers or anyone.
