Lovely hosts, they helped organise transportation for us to and from Pidurangala rock for sunrise as well as a car from their home stay to our next location, Kandy. Our safari was also suggested and arranged for us by our hosts. The little things go a long way. We arrived in a downpour and our hosts very kindly met us both by the cars with umbrellas whilst they helped us with our bags. Breakfast was delicious, too and we were enjoyed having dinner with the hosts on the first evening we arrived. When staying at Yashi’s place, you must visit the Lady Cafe at the end of the road - this was a great recommendation by the host and the best food we had throughout our whole trip in Sri Lanka. The room was large and clean. The gardens surrounding Yashi’s place were beautiful - we especially enjoyed seeing the peacocks in the trees as we ate our meals!

Apsolute amazing! The best place we stayed in Sri Lanka, we had perfect vacation place to rest afrer safari or climing the Lion's rock. The private pool is just phenomenal, the food that hosts prepare for you, we had every meal at the accomodation and did not regrate it! Staff - amazing couple willing to help with everything!

We had the best stay ever. Lovely place run by amazing people. The room are huge and clean, there’s AC, fan, hot water, kettle, big and comfy beds , everything you need. First of all, the attentiveness of our hosts was amazing. Always smiling, asking if everything was all right, trying to fulfill any of our desires or requirements. This place is a family-owned property, with happy kids running around. We felt safe and welcomed. Secondly, the food is great. It's home-cooked, but the presentation could compete with any restaurant we've been to in Sri Lanka. Not just the presentation, of course, but the tastes were great and the portions were huge. Location is excellent. If you are in the area to hike to the top of the rocks, which you probably are; the accommodation is located roughly in the middle, between Lion's Rock and Pidurangala. You can walk to both of them easily (20-30 minutes walk). The host will get you there by car if you are planning to leave early in the morning or late after sunset. You can see Lion's Rock from the property and you can get a good photo of it right there. The room is basic, but clean and well thought out. There is a bench to put your stuff, a bed with a mosquito net, and a working fan. The bathroom follows the same path. There are chairs and a table outside of the room. Despite the remote location, the Wi-Fi connection is surprisingly stable and reliable. I was able to make a 1+ hour video call. The speeds are slow but that's to be expected.

Views are amazing as they look and the family can’t do enough for you! Whether that is fresh coconuts, playing cricket, singing, helping organise trips/tuk tuks or special spicy sambal. Dinner was good and breakfast was lovely overlooking the rice paddies and rock. Also a nice lake a short walk away. I’d recommend here and happily come back. Also do ask for top room, I was luckily to get it and watching sunset from bed was lovely
