Our stay at Lake Cabin in Polonnaruwa met all our expectations. The host was extraordinarily friendly and understanding. The view from the balcony looking over the lake was mesmerizing. The breakfast was truly amazing with multiple different options to choose from. If you are looking for a place to stay in Polonnaruwa, we can definitely recommend Lake Cabin!

I only had one night here but I loved this place. I was given a welcome drink, the room was spotlessly clean, the shower was fantastic, the TV worked, and the bed and pillow were the most comfortable I've had in Sri Lanka. Amazing value for money.

Our host was amazing and helped us with everything. The food was super, and we've got way more than we could eat. The hotel is located right around the corner of the sacred city, and we rented bikes to explore it easily.

    great hosts who helped us with cycle hire for the ancient city and onward transport. The property is tucked away from the main road so is quiet but close to the ancient city entrance. Very reasonably priced for what you get.

    The guest house is a great location, just down the road from the ancient city and I rented a bike to go and explore it. Food was amazing from the host, some of the best I had in Sri Lanka. I would definitely recommend a stay. Especially as a solo traveller it was a nice break for two nights.
