Totally recommended! Two neat rooms on upper floor of the family house, private entry from the road, with spectacular view of the distant mountains. Both rooms have high ceiling, quiet aircon, en-suite bathrooms with hot water, good beds, clean linen. Confidently serving the best breakfast in Sri Lanka we ever had. Lady of the house cooks local food on demand. The hosts are simply amazing, helpful, always available, 5*service with genuine smile.

Above and beyond expectations and previous reviews were great. Beautiful environment, and a balcony better than any other we've found, superbly clean.owner and his wife are wonderful hosts, home cooked food was the best we've tasted in Sri Lanka. We had a wonderful stay! The view is breathtaking, the room was amazingly clean and fresh with comfortable bed. The whole family was so helpful and kind, even helped us with food when we arrived late and hungry. Our best stay in sri lanka so far. Definitely recommend staying at mountain view guesthouse when you are in Kandy!

Great location not far from town centre, bus station, railway station etc. nestled in a leafy area away from the chaos of town. We watched the squirrels and birds from the balcony while eating breakfast. Siraj was a fantastic host. Best pancakes and fruit platter. He was very friendly and helped us answer our questions about Kandy. PickMe and Uber work well here too.
