I booked La Chartreuse last minute, and how lucky was I to come across this hidden gem . The location is brilliant being beside the tram and bus stop, which brings you right into the centre, la gare and airport. The place is spotless, and your host Pierre sends a welcome pack via email so you know exactly what to expect. The interior is modern French chic, breakfast is basic, but enough. If I ever have the pleasure of going back to Bordeaux I will 100% stay here.

We had to utmost pleasure to spend a week at Antony's extraordinary abode; so much so that it is hard to find the exact words to describe it's splendour -- this truly is an incomparable establishment. Firstly, this is a very accessible location, with it only being a taxi or tramway away from the airport, and from there the whole city is available at your doorstep due to its fabulous city-centre location. Everything you could ever desire from Bordeaux (and indeed its environs of Arcachon, St. Émilion etc. should your heart so desire!) is available to you on foot, or via tramway too for areas slightly off the beaten track. Despite this, however, its location is triumphed substantially only by the incredible services available without ever having to step foot out of La Belle Endormie. Antony is perhaps the best host one could ever desire; his kindness, helpfulness, joy and attentiveness was so welcome, and truly made the trip what it was. Each morning, a fabulous array of (fresh!) pastries, bread and butter, yoghurt, cheeses, orange juice and more is brought to your doorstep, a sufficient quantity of which is provided that we very rarely had to have lunch during the day -- saving a few quid for some nice dinner later on! Should, however, as was the case with us on some evenings, you return home and wish for a glass of wine, some houmous or spreads with crackers, some beer or crisps or just a bottle of Coke, all of that is also provided within the minibar and its surroundings at a reasonable rate -- minibars are something we usually avoid as their extortionate prices are unfortunate, but such is not the case at la Belle Endormie whatsoever, and thus we profited from same and enjoyed each and every one of the offerings! (There's not enough room here so continuing in the other section!).

Doesn’t matter how much I write, it won’t be enough to describe how amazing this accommodation is. Just come and see for yourself! Considering the reviews, expected a great breakfast, but it was just perfect! I liked everything about it and the presentation is “wow”! Upon arrival there were also complimentary drinks in the fridge. And the details like scented oils on the shelve or little candies on the tables became a chef's kiss, loved it! Communication with accommodation was also great and conscise. Thanks owners a lot for all the effort to make our stay as wonderful as possible ❤️ Enjoyed it a lot and cannot recommend enough!

I loved it - a great place very quiet and relaxing a bit of a way from the city but with excellent transport connections. Super comfortable bed and massive living room and kitchen space. Lovely and clean it felt like a home away from home. How anyone could diss it is beyond me. It is an older house of the Bordeaux style so I imagine all stairs are narrow and steep not the owners fault.

I had a fantastic time here. It's even better than the pics. Great value. Perfect location. Safe. Quiet. Clean. Modern. Lovely breakfast/facilities. Very comfortable and stylish. Everything from check in to check out was so smooth and seamless. They let me leavey bags there after checkout too which was really helpful so I could explore the city before my late flight. I was genuinely blown away by this place, it's like the best of both worlds between hotel and Airbnb and I would have stayed a whole month if I could.
