We stayed in the tents. Loved the feeling of being in our own little forest with monkeys and birds all around. Open air shower is so refreshing. Not a far walk to the most amazing beach. Think its a brilliant idea with different kinds of accommodations available for different budgets and preferences. The Snackbar was wonderful. Stanley and his team really makes amazing food.

This tent has a shared bathroom, garden views and fruit for guests. The unit has 1 bed. Hands down one of the nicest campsites I’ve ever been to and that is not only thanks to the incredible location (just 10 min walking to Mida Creek), but also to the owner and the whole family living nearby. I felt really taken care of, not just as the client, but as a guest that is most welcome there. The owner explained how everything around the camp works, offered many interesting activities to do around (canoe trips, elephant watching, etc) and always went out of his way to ensure we have everything we need. I have booked a camping spot, but I got a free upgrade to the treehouse thanks to his kind offer! The campsite has great and clean facilities and is conveniently located to the main road going to Gede and Watamu both by matatu and mototaxi. There is also breakfast and dinner available upon request which you can enjoy in an AWESOME spot right next to the creek, which is very peaceful with almost no people around - the serenity of this place is one best things about it. I honestly can’t recommend this place enough if you are looking for something close to nature away from the tourist traps. It was a perfect base to explore the surroundings and it definitely deserves more recognition!

Situato a Kilifi Creek, a soli 3 km dalla città e circondato da una foresta comunità, il Distant Relatives Ecolodge and Backpackers offre una spiaggia appartata, un... Questo posto è un vero paradiso. Immerso nella natura, dotato di tutti i comfort. Staff gentile, sempre sorridente e a disposizione. Ottimi piatti da mangiare tutta la giornata. Un senso di pace che riempie l’anima. C’è anche l’accesso ad una spiaggia bellissima. Non vedo l’ora di tornarci. Grazie a tutti lo staff per gli splendidi giorni trascorsi.
