Our group had a great experience of staying in authentic tree houses! Complemented with an amazing 5-hour-long safari that the owners kindly organised for us (we saw several elephants, buffaloes, deers, peacocks etc.), and a tasty dinner around a bonfire, it was definitely one of the most unforgettable highlights of our Sri Lanka trip! Nilanthal and Elizabeth are amazing hosts. They are very knowledgeable safari guides. We had an amazing half day safari with Elizabeth where we had a very close encounter with a leopard, it was truly amazing. They are very passionate about the area and the wildlife. The tents are very comfortable and the evening dinner around the campfire under the stars was incredible.

The camp is beautifully located just outside the Yala national park. Tents were cosy and safe. The staff was welcoming and so kind to us. Food was delicious, a lot of coconut was used. Guided safari and the bushwalk were the highlight of our stay. We learnt a lot about animals and saw some rare night birds as well. Thank you Makini for all the amazing memories. Wish you the best!

It was an excellent experience . It gave a feeling of staying in the middle of jungle under the tent with sounds of peacock. The hospitality from the staff was too good. The food we ordered was excellent and the breakfast they have packed for the safari was too good.

Everything is perfect at Tribe Yala. It is an incredible and unique glamping experience. The “tents” (it is more of a 5 star hotel suite) are clean, spacious, fully equipped (private wifi and AC) and comfortable. We also had a private jacuzzi. Besides, the food is exceptional (one of the best we have had in Sri Lanka). We did the one day safari and it was certainly one of our favorite days of our entire trip. You get to see many animals while being accompanied by a wildlife specialist (ours was Kusar and he is very knowledgeable and friendly). Staff from the hotel met us inside the national park to bring us a delicious Sri Lankan lunch. Finally, the staff of the hotel is amazing. Thank you Rua and Latchan for your friendliness and professionalism. We will come back for sure!
