The manor house is absolutely beautiful, and it was obvious that no costs were spared in the design of the interior. Rooms are very spacious and well-appointed with most rooms featuring luxurious ensuite bathrooms. There are many different seating areas throughout the house that can be closed off to spend time in privacy. The indoor BBQ (braai) area is spacious and has a huge floor to ceiling glass sliding door that opens up to the large lawn with swimming pool. It was great to spend the early morning on the covered, wind-sheltered veranda (stoep), looking over the adjacent vineyards. The kind domestic staff were very discreet and unobtrusive and made the beds and cleaned the kitchen without us even knowing they were there. Very close to Stellenbosch and Franschhoek and the range of tourist facilities in the area. I would highly recommend a stay at Mount Vernon Manor and predict that once this "newcomer" is discovered it would become increasingly difficult to find availability at such an exceptional property.

Absolutely unforgettable living! This is a unique winery with a special atmosphere. I wish everyone to visit here! The rooms are good, fresh repairs, although they are small. A beautiful pool with a view of a mountain valley, several restaurants in the territory, a very atmospheric wine boutique and a farmer store. We would like to stay here longer, but there was complete booking. Be sure to return, one of the best options for living for all our journey.

Thoroughly enjoyed our five-night stay at Mon Rêve Estate. It gave us the balance we were looking for – close proximity to spectacular golf courses, wineries, and countryside with the ability to return back to a quiet homestead environment and sip wine on a large covered porch with a stunning view of grapevines and mountains. The cottage also offered a large stone fireplace to braai, which we took advantage of. The owner is welcoming and friendly, and eager to provide nearby recommendations. The cottage itself was well laid out and provides all the amenities for a pleasant stay, including luxury toiletries. We hope to return!

A good location for a hassle-free holiday in Stellenbosch, Muratie Wine Estate is a guest house surrounded by views of the garden.
