We have been traveling for 7 weeks in Japan and this was one of the best stays we have experienced. The old house has been very nicely renovated. Our host Mari (who is an architect) was a brilliant host. She is still improving her English (and getting better!), and we had great conversations in the evening (with the help of Google translator) - and I do not speak any Japanese (except for a few words). The food she prepared was very tasty and nicely prepared. And we had a really good tea ceremony with two elderly ladies from the village (great fun!). If we would be coming back to the area - then I would stay here again. Many thanks Mari.

Beautiful spot, run by some extremely thoughtful people. Perfect place for a rest while doing the Shimanami Kaido 👌🏼 All the small touches really blew us away and added to our overall experience.

The place is amazing: a traditional japanese house with a great view of the town and the sea (and sunset if you are lucky to arrive early). Masashi is a great host, super nice and welcoming guy. And the kitchen is a great space to socialise with the other guests.

We stayed here half way on the Shimanami Kaido. The host drove us to a absolutely beautiful onsen / bath house nearby, perfect after a days biking. She then made a reservation and dropped us off at a restaurant, one of the best meals we had in our trip. The accomodation is super spacious, clean and homely! A lovely breakfast was prepared before starting our second day. I could not recommend enough, we would definitely stay again if we come back.

The house was spotlessly clean and the beds very comfortable. The hosts were outside when we arrived amd were very helpful. We loved that we could have breakfast delivered in the morning and somewhere safe to store our bikes (as we were riding the Shiminami Kaido). It was also nice to be within walking distance of a restaurant.

Our favourite stay of our holiday. Wonderful hosts, a beautiful home that was much bigger than expected. The restaurant downstairs was excellent, wonderfully fresh food prepared with care.
