Friendly and helpful staff, a beautiful property with super comfy dorms! I slept so well and I loved how peaceful it was. It was such a lovely break from the cities in Japan, hiking nearby was really fantastic and I liked the onsens too.

Oni no Sumika is a beautiful resort. The rooms and garden are thoughtfully designed. Staff provided excellent and personal service. Shout out to Manager Yawata who took us on a whole-day tour. Would love to visit again

This is an amazing ryokan. The staff is extremely friendly and nice. They do all and everything to make your stay memorable. The public onsen in the ryokan was great, very serene atmosphere. The room was huge, with a private onsen. All the facilities are very clean. The food (dinner and breakfast) is amazing, tasty and beautiful. The city is nice and quiet, great to walk around. There is a small bamboo forest, a river runs thru it, nice buildings. Picturesque!

Registered as a cultural property, Arai Ryokan features natural hot-spring baths and traditional Japanese architecture just a 5-minute walk from Shuzenji Temple.

This is such a special ryokan, right on the river and overall it was a wonderful experience. There are multiple onsens to choose from. The ryokan food took us out of our comfort zone, and we tried Japanese dishes we never would have otherwise. The staff were all very helpful which added to making our stay pleasant. Make sure you arrive right on the check in time to make the most out of your stay or even better - opt to stay two nights! :-)

Cultural and historic Japanese style inn with various kinds of hot springs. Delicious food and staff members' welcoming hospitality. We enjoyed retro style Japanese beauty. Maze like facility. Reaching out to our room was intriguing.

Such a unique place. Enjoyed finally having some comfy couches to relax in! Very well fitted out with absolutely everything you could need. Centrally located to all the sights. This would be a great place for a group of people as there is so much seating and even two kitchens. Highly recommend.

The location is great and having the sound of the river was really relaxing. The room in japanese style was very beautiful, spacious and comfortable! The staff was really nice and the breakfast delicious!

It was my first visit & hopefully not the last. The staff made me very welcome & the facilities were superb.

Very interesting place. It was a first time in ryokan for us, so it was really a new experience. Very remarkable atmosphere, authentic and with a huge politeness. Unforgettable personnel. We also took the dinner and the breakfast, and that's also a must.
