The Bhadra Kali Guesthouse was located *just* on the most important ghat in Vārānasī, with amazing views to boot! We had our own balcony with a view straight on the Ganga and some temple towers to boot, could not have asked for anything better! Wide and comfortable bed (with the exception of the pillow which was shared for two people, a slightly weird arrangement - we didn't ask for anything else though!), hot water worked well, very good price, good food, helpful and friendly staff, everything was very okay indeed! The view from the roof terrace was even grander than the balcony, haha! Special thanks for helping us with our train tickets as we went on to Gaya and Bodhgaya! The staff helped us smooth and easy. :) An excellent choice all around! Heartily recommended!

The caretaker - Anil was on hand all the time to help. He helped navigate our way round Varanasi. He kept the apartment clean and safe. We weer a party of 3 adults. The location is ideal with views from 3 rooms of the Gangha.

I liked several things about the hotel. First of all, the staff were super friendly, helpful and sorted out anything immediately. I liked the room and the facilities, the terrace view of the Ganges is amazing. The vegetarian food we had for lunch there was delicious. Location is great if you are interested in being close to the Ganges river and explore that part of the city. My room was big and comfortable. Cleanliness level is quite good, the double bed was very comfortable for me and the bathroom was clean, tidy and easy to use despite its small size. Most of all I liked the kindness and helpfulness of the staff, as well as the area surrounding the hotel since I am personally very interested in history and culture. Overall, I had a memorable experience and if I come back to Varanasi, I am definitely staying there again!!

We loved the location on the river. The hotel is older but it is spotlessly clean. The service from the hotel staff was excellent. The food at the restaurant was really good also. We had a situation with our flights being cancelled and needed a solution to get us to Pushkar. Ajay worked really hard to get it done and by the end of the day we did make it to Pushkar. We had the hotel arrange an all day walking tour of Varanasi and the sunrise boat ride on the Ganges. Both were fabulous. The prices were fair also. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

The staff is very helpful and friendly; I have no complaints about the hotel. I've visited Varanasi several times, and it was definitely my best stay. I would definitely return. The room was perfectly clean and comfortable. The location was perfect for me.
