Hotels in Baisha Old Town, Lijiang

Very friendly and helpful hotel operators with lots of tips for hiking routes. Both Chinese and English is spoken. The hotel is located 30 meters from the main shopping street but still absolutely quiet. Clean rooms. It was a very pleasant stay. Baisha as one of the 3 old towns of Lijiang is the ideal starting point for hikes into the Yulong Mountains and yet not far from Lijiangs historical old town.

Excellent attention from the lobby team, who speak very good English and helped us arrange all our transport back and forth from the station. Fantastic location as well, very clean and high-tech rooms!

I am very particular in choosing a place to stay for our travel. One of the owners, Arlin has been very active in communicating with me through email and wechat, answering all of my queries and requests. So that little act of service helped to convince me to book them. They offered a free pick up service from train station and they also has a porter service to help you carry your luggage all the way to your room. Upon arrival, i was super stoke because the hotel is exactly how they advertised in the website. They offered a bit more contemporary design while staying true to the traditional theme. We were greeted warmly with tea and i guess only the owner can converse in english but the workers arent. But despite the lack of english, we made do with translation app. Our room is spacious and clean with no speck of dust, our balcony is facing the old town street and literally you can just go out from the hotel and immediately shop. The hotel also very modern in a sense that they have a control button for their curtain anddd i cannot stress this enough, they HAVE AUTOMATED TOILET WITH THE FREAKING HOLY BIDET AND DYSON HAIRDRYER. Being a Malaysian, having a bidet is a must so to my fellow Malaysian traveller, im vouching for this hotel. Their toilet paper is 4 ply. They also have washer + dryer machine located at the ground floor, free to use, so another plus point there. I washed my clothes everynight, and then hang out with the owner while waiting for my laundry. They offered free breakfast, but seeing we are muslim, he switched the local breakfast with pastries instead. They always prepared free candies, local fruits and tea at the receptionist which i always took whenever i went out. The location of the hotel is also very convenient, it is very near to the main road, the iconic water wheel and dashi bridge. The attentiveness and care they provided for their guests, answering every questions no matter how silly they sounded, has really won it for me. Will come again!

The place is charming, located in the heart of the historic city center, yet sufficiently tucked away to avoid the noise of the crowds. the yard filled with relaxing atmosphere. The manager Joye is good knowledge of the English language, finding the best solutions for exploring the surroundings, it's a perfect place to spend some vacation days here.

The homestay where I stayed this time greatly surprised me. The room is incredibly unique, with every corner exuding an artistic ambiance. It offers a diverse range of room types that can cater to the needs of various individuals. The facilities are top-notch, and the warm, considerate service attitude makes one feel even more welcomed.

As soon as I placed the order, I received a warm reminder email, various reminders, arrangements for airport pick-up, etc. The service was done very well. The hotel is located particularly well, close to the ancient city. The environment is quite beautiful, and the second floor garden is beautiful. The room is also very comfortable and clean, with good hot water, internet, and air conditioning. The boss is very enthusiastic, and the routes and cuisine introduced are also worth it.

We had an amazing experience staying at this hotel. The location is perfect, very convenient and close to everything we needed. Our room was beautiful—spacious, tastefully decorated, and equipped with every amenity one could ask for, including a great soaking bathtub. One of the highlights of our stay was the incredibly warm welcome we received upon arrival from Mandy’s uncle, James, and her brother. They greeted us with big smiles and genuine kindness, which immediately made us feel at home. The breakfast was good with a great cappuccino to start the day off right. Mandy herself was absolutely fantastic—always available via WeChat to answer any questions and offer great suggestions. Her English is excellent, which made communication very easy and smooth. On our departure day, James kindly carried our luggage all the way to the taxi area at 6:45 in the morning—again, with that same warm smile and friendly attitude. We also really loved the dogs, which added a charming, homely touch to the place. We wholeheartedly recommend staying at this hotel. It was an unforgettable experience and we would definitely come back!

Beautiful hotel, just by the plantations and close to the river. The rooms keeps is traditional style but with modern comfort. Also, food is delicious! Local and authentic Singaporean flavours on the table. The staff and owner are very friendly, we would stay here again.

The staff is simply amazing the helped us booking everything, carried our luggage and provided useful tips. I’ve never encountered such a service when booking in this price category. Simply amazing.
