Located in a quiet oceanfront area on the island of Averøy, this former Bacalao (salt modified and dried cod) factory has been restored into a rustic guesthouse. Such a beautiful little hotel with the most lovely staff. We stayed in the Studio Apartment with Sea View and WOW! The view was absolutely breathtaking! We also had dinner at the hotel and it ended up being one of the best meals we had during our time in Norway. I did notice a few reviews mention the steep stairs, but honestly, that’s just part of the charm when staying in a historic building in Europe. It didn’t bother us at all and added to the authentic feel of the place.

The location was perfect for a walk around the city. AKSLA mountain top steps just at back of hotel. Street parking outside the hotel. Best breakfast spread. Loved the salmon. Suggest that oat milk and Almond milk also be available. Fantastic see sunset view from the room.

El Sunde Fjord Hotel, free and easy parking está rodeado de montañas y fiordos y se encuentra a 100 metros del muelle de ferris de Solavågen. The people there are amazing! We got in late at night and the young lady at the front desk opened the kitchen and cooked the 4 of us dinner of spare ribs and hamburgers!
