Boasting a spectacular architecture, this unique design hotel provides 3 impressive pools and exotic activities like bird watching. It's a fascinating building wonderfully situated right in the heart of the jungle, with plants growing over it. Marvellous views over the nearby lake, just slightly spoiled by the fact that a drought had left it nearly empty. Service was superb with tremendous attention to detail. I enjoyed the meals, both the buffet breakfast and dinner, each of which provided a very wide choice. The rooms are very comfortable and spotlessly clean. A memorable place to stay.

The hotel restaurant serves delicious food with a variety of choices catering to all tastes. Which is important as there are limited opportunities to dine away from the hotel.

I love everything about this homestay. The family is awesome, extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. The room is massive with a pantry and a large bathroom. There were sufficient hangers and a sturdy bar for us to hang our clothes and washing. The mosquito net covering the entire bed is such a wonderful add-on. Really appreciate all these details to ensure our comfort.

Enjoying stunning scenery in the Sri Lankan countryside, Ashburnham Estate offers Sri Lankan cooking classes, a guided tea estate tour and an on-site 40-foot waterfall. I will carry this magical place in my memories for my whole life. Extremely stylish tea estate that seems suspended in time and space.. me and my girlfriend just couldn’t stop taking pictures with our camera all around the property! They have a breathtaking veranda where you can enjoy your meals, especially the dinner at sunsets.. a charming swimming pool, marvelous rooms and a private waterfall!! Amila, the manager is one of the nicest and most professional persons I have the privilege to met during my time in Sri Lanka took very good care of us and I recommend not to miss the tea plantation tour and tea tasting with Mr. Das, the historic memory of this beautiful place. What else to add? Two nights weren’t enough but that’s a good reason to go back!

Great stay, Mr. Nish and his team went out of their way to take care of us. The food was excellent, we even extended our stay by a night!
