What a sweet antique ryokan run by the loveliest people! We had here the best dinners in our whole trip!!! I cannot explain enough how delicious and exceptional the dinners were. Everyone is sweet and kind, and language doesn't feel like a barrier. We were welcomed with ceremonial tea and sweets. Location is perfect, right at the centre of everything, a 7 minute walk to the old city, 1 minute walk to the bridge with beautiful views, and there are plenty of eateries and cafes around. It was the only stay during our trip where we had shared bathrooms and toilet, but in the end we didn't mind it at all. The authentic experience of the onsen is brilliant, super relaxing. The place feels a bit like a live museum, or your Japanese grandma's house, so it's fun to look around. They also have a library of books to swap / leave. The owners helped us with finding things to do at Takayama. Honestly I couldn't recommend it enough, would definitely return!

Situado en el centro del distrito histórico de Takayama, el Ryokan Tanabe 旅館田邊 es uno de los ryokans más históricos de la ciudad. Muy buen ryokan, la habitación muy bonita, el servicio de cena y desayuno delicioso. los futones eran cómodos. muy buena opción para descansar en Takayama.

Situated at the heart of historic Takayama Old Town and just steps away from Takayama Jinya Morning Market, the traditional Honjin Hiranoya Kachoan offers personalised hospitality, hot spring baths... the experience of a Japanese dinner and breakfast was awesome. The staff was incredible and could not have done a better job with the breakfast and dinner. The owner of the property was amazing, she went out of her way to get us our bus schedule and tickets to Shiranawa and Takayama, she took me to the bus station to buy the tickets and pay for the taxi on our return to the hotel, she could not have done a better service. our party of four was very impressed with our stay on October 16th to the 17th.

El elegante AKARI et KAORI fue diseñado por Shinji Kagawa y se encuentra a 10 minutos en coche de la estación de tren de Shuzenji. The hotel's location was quite convenient. A short bus or cab ride from Shuzenji station. From the hotel, it was a lovely stroll to Shuzenji Temple nearby. What stood out to me most was the staff's genuine hospitality. They didn't speak much English but were very accommodating at all times. Neither my mom nor I eat beef, so with advance notice, they replaced beef with lobster. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Although the public bath was small, it was cozy and well-equipped. It was a shame we only stayed one night.

Located a 5-minute walk from JR Nagoya Train Station, The Royal Park Canvas Nagoya offers free WiFi throughout the property and a high level of security. Breakfast was exceptional. The room was clean and very nice. The staff was very nice and friendly.

El Chaya Hotel, situado a solo 40 metros de la ciudad de Magome-Juku, restaurada después de la era Edo, ofrece habitaciones tradicionales y sencillas con camas tipo futón y suelo de tatami. Impresionante experiencia tradicional japonesa. Es la primera vez que veo y utilizo un tatami!.

El Hida Takayama Hodakaso Yamano Iori se encuentra a solo 3 minutos a pie de la estación de tren JR de Takayama y a 10 minutos a pie del centro histórico y del mercado matutino de Takayama Jinya y... Muy buen personal, muy buen baño público. El ambiente y la ubicación.

El Takayama Ouan fue galardonado en 2014 con el Certificado de Excelencia de TripAdvisor y presenta un diseño tradicional japonés con suelo de tatami (tejido de paja) en todas las instalaciones. One of our favourite places to stay at! We loved how simple the room was and the bed was such a dream to sleep on. It was an easy walk to many great food places nearby and everyone was very nice. The private onsen and free ramen at night was the highlight of it all. Will definitely come back again!
