From the moment when we arrived, we felt at home. As well, in the reception it is a cafeteria and they have a great coffee and other drinks. They recommended us different restaurants and places to visit. My wife and I will definitely stay there again.

Located on a hilltop and overlooking Lake Kawaguchi, the hotel serves French dinner with an advance reservation. Wonderful boutique hotel. Warm and helpful staff, quirky funny barman with lovely cocktails, but the view is the star here. We loved the Japanese room with the futon and majestic view of Fuji. And the public Onsen was really good!

The warm ambiance is further enhanced by local artists' paintings adorning the walls. We went as a group and we loved the ryokan. It was very spacious, everything was very clean, and it was conveniently located near the bus station, the train station, and the city center where most of the shopping takes place. The rooms were the most spacious we stayed in throughout Japan, and the staff were all very kind. I would definitely stay here again.

A Truly Special Traditional Ryokan Experience at Fuji Onsenji Yumedono We stayed at Fuji Onsenji Yumedono, a beautiful traditional Japanese ryokan located near Lake Kawaguchiko, and it was a truly special experience. We booked two rooms — one was a newer, modern villa-style suite in a separate area, which was absolutely lovely. The other room, for three adults, was located in the main building and was more traditional and a bit older in style. Each room includes a private onsen, which was a real highlight. Soaking in the hot spring bath after a long day of exploring was incredibly relaxing and luxurious. The main building has a cozy lounge with complimentary hot and cold drinks, available throughout the day — a very nice touch. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, offering some of the best service we encountered in Japan. Breakfast was served in a traditional Japanese-style dining room. Since we don’t eat fish, the staff kindly arranged a Western-style breakfast for us the next morning without any issue. Overall, this was a unique and memorable experience, blending warm hospitality, traditional charm, and modern comfort. Highly recommended for those seeking a peaceful and authentic stay near Mount Fuji.

Surrounded by four gardens that change colours throughout the seasons, Kanazawa Sainoniwa Hotel offers spa facilities and an on-site restaurant. Private parking is possible on site and free WiFi is available in all guest rooms. Tone of the best experiences I had from a hotel. The staff was helpful, generous and caring. Breakfast was great. The public bath was great. We enjoyed it very much.
