A seating area and flat-screen TV feature in all apartments at Thoristun Apartments. Each apartment has a bathroom with shower. Some have a private terrace. Very comfortable a spacious, we had everything we needed as well as laundry and a dryer. Restaurants and grocery store are nearby. Definitely will recommend to my friends!

Located within the famous Golden Circle sightseeing trail, Héradsskólinn Historic Guesthouse overlooks Lake Laugarvatn, Hekla Volcano and the Eyjafjallajökull Glacier. A bistro, café, bar and tour desk are found on site. WiFi is free. The building is beautiful both inside and out, with a unique charm thanks to its history as an old school. The atmosphere has a very cool, distinctive vibe. Our room was on the smaller side, but it was comfortable and cozy. The shared bathrooms were decent and served their purpose. We also opted for breakfast, which featured a wide variety of options—and everything we tried was delicious.

Frost and Fire Hotel’s rooms feature bright, modern décor and work by various Icelandic artists. All have wooden floors, large beds and a private bathroom. Some rooms offer views of the River Varmá. Fabulous setting and the food was one of the nicest meals we had, the woman on reception was so friendly and the hot tubs were fantastic
