Our room, facing the pool, was large, comfortable and clean, the interior decor lovely, the pool amazingly inviting, the garden well cared for, the hotel itself, a beautiful home with alot of history, warm ambience, efficient and friendly staff. It is really one of the best hotels we've stayed at.

Offering an outdoor swimming pool, a massage parlour and a spa and wellness centre, The Gulaal is located in Jaisalmer. It is 1 km from Jaisalmer Fort, Gadisar Lake and Jaisalmer Folklore Museum. The property offers free parking. Very well curated haveli. By far, the best stay so far in our 3 weeks travel around Rajasthan! The swimming pool was a bless for the kids, allowing have to have relaxing breaks between morning and afternoon activities.

The food is very good, from breakfast to afternoon cakes and dinner on the rooftop. The manager Peter is very kind and professional, he's always attentive to everything and caring. He does his best so that the guests feel happy and like staying at home.

Previously owned by the Maharaj of Madri and restored to its current state, Madri Haveli features elegant rooms with stained glass windows. The area around it is conserved for tourist heritage walk. Situated on a hill, it has a rooftop restaurant and terrace offering city and lake views. Everybody that comes to Udaipur should book this hotel. the staff were incredibly helpful and really nice. They helped us hire a Tuk Tuk for the entire time we were there and it was just so easy to contact the driver whenever we wanted to go somewhere and know that we were getting a fair price. The air conditioning unit in the room was very powerful and made it very comfortable to sleep in considering we were there in peak summer. Bedrooms were incredibly beautiful, authentic and traditional feel. The bed was very comfortable, and the location was right in the center of the old city with a view of the lake as well as being close to the city Palace. Is there anything I didn’t like?

Overall, our stay was wonderful, and if we ever return to Jaisalmer, we would definitely choose this place again. A heartfelt thank-you to Mr. Fifu for his kindness and hospitality!
