Good advice from host on where best to park and restaurant options etc. Tip: Wines from their cellar was delicious, especially the sparkling rosé.

Cochem Train Station and the historic Old Town are less than 5 minutes' walk away. We had a wonderful stay — the room was very spacious, spotlessly clean, and beautifully decorated, with stunning views of the river and castle. The location is peaceful yet just a short walk from the centre. Breakfast was excellent every day, and one morning when we were late, they kindly prepared food for us anyway. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout. Highly recommend!

With its reach history, Trier deserves at least 2 or 3 days to learn about the two thousands life of the oldest city in Germany.
