Miss EDNA and the late MR WILLIAM the owners were excellent. Miss DEE and MR George the younger owners are excellent too. It was MR George who booked me in the hotel for my first stay around thirty years ago. The hotel is like HOME AWAY FROM HOME for me. We, my family, have always enjoyed our stay at HERDMANSTON LODGE HOTEL, We have stayed in most of those rooms. We have stayed in WALES room where the late QUEEN ELIZABETH and PRINCE PHILIP stayed. PRINCE CHARLES now KING CHARLES also stayed IN WALES room. The rooms are named after the BOOKERS Sugar Estates found in GUYANA/Formerly BRITISH GUIANA. The late Mr Williams bought HERDMANSTON LODGE HOTEL from BOOKERS where he once worked. My father also worked at Wales Sugar Estate making Demera Rum and Demerara Sugar. WOW, It is a long history and geography.
