We love Paternoster - the quiet of it, the isolation of it and the beauty of it. It is still a very sleepy little beach town and that is what we wanted. There are several wonderful places to explore nearby and within the town itself, some incredible restaurants and experiences. Don't miss the Waterfront, Gaaitjie and Voorstrandt. If you have the time, go into West Coast National Park for a day trip. It is well worth it and close enough through the Langebaan entrance.

Quaint little fishing village, with a definite style of its own. There are some interesting local activities, fabulous eateries, cute boutiques, and gorgeous beaches. Its becoming a high end tourist destination because of its close proximity to Cape Town, the winelands, and other towns along the West Coast. A "must" is the West Coast Nature Reserve, especially during the flower season

Paternoster is a beautiful village with an outstanding beach. There are a wide choice of places to stay and some excellent restaurants in the area. We ate at Gaitjies and at the Voorstand restaurants. Gaitijies is excellent..creative cuisine , and Voorstrand serves delicious simpler food, but well worth a visit. Both these restaurants are on the beach and enjoy the perfect views.

C’est La Vie is undeniably a beautiful property, with stunning, unobstructed views of the sea and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it ideal for a relaxing getaway. The quiet surroundings were a real highlight—perfect for unwinding and enjoying nature. We did play some music one afternoon, well before the 9pm cutoff, but unfortunately received complaints and were informed of a strict no-noise policy. It would be helpful if this was clearly communicated in advance, as it did catch us off guard. The living room fireplace was a lovely touch and added a cozy charm to the space. However, the rest of the house lacked heating, which made sleeping quite uncomfortable, especially during cooler nights. Additionally, the property ran out of toilet paper during our stay, which was unexpected and inconvenient. Considering the premium cost of the rental, I believe management should address these issues to better align the experience with the price point. That said, the staff during booking and check-in were exceptionally helpful and courteous, which we really appreciated. Overall, C’est La Vie has great potential, but a few improvements would make it truly exceptional.

Paternoster is our very favourite place in the entire Western Cape by far. It is still relatively unspoilt with wonderful scenery and excellent beaches. There are lots of great restaurants and our Colombine Nature Reserve trip was fantastic. Highly recommended.

The unit was in a lovely quiet estate of Paternoster called Die Kom. It was right on the beach! The security was great for the unit with alarm and beams. Stay in Paternoster was super frinedly and helpful during the booking and check-in/out. I would highly recomend them as a team and specifically this unit was fantastic!
