We booked one night quite last minute but Trevor hosted us without any problem. The room was a bit studio with everything we needed. Mary was an amazing host, so welcoming and friendly. Her staff as well were so friendly and always waiting to help. The breakfast was delicious and the homemade bread a 10/10. Our room was spacious and had the most comfortable bed, not forgetting the view from the room to the lake; breath taking. My partner and I really enjoyed our stay and are definitely going back in the near future.

I liked the place, absolutely stunning, the braai area outside, you can also chill outside on the garden & get some breeze. It is located just two minutes away from the Iconic Muizernberg beach (walking) , restaurants are close by , the train station and malls are close by as well. The owners were so kind to me. Best place ever!!

My friend and I had a wonderful time at this hostel! The owners were incredibly friendly, always helpful, and gave us great tips for exploring the area. The nearby beach is absolutely beautiful – perfect for watching the sunrise and just a short walk away. The hostel itself is modern, freshly renovated, and very clean. You can tell a lot of care has gone into making guests feel comfortable. Highly recommended!

    Muizenberg is well connected to drive to Cape Town (20-30 minutes) and also to the Cape of Good Hope, or to travel both directions by train. We enjoyed the little cafés, restaurants and shops on the way to Fishhoek. It is was great to have a long beach in Muizenberg but at the time we went there we found lots of seaweed and there were some constructions going on that created unpleasant smells.

    Muizenberg is a big surf area attracting many people who...

    Muizenberg is a big surf area attracting many people who love being in or close to the water. It is busy and active with plenty of action on or near the water. Plenty of eating places with great coffee to go. Not Hout Bay or Camps Bay so don't go thinking you will get fine dining and dressed up crowds. Think more bohemian and down to earth. A great vibe if you love the ebb and flow of the ocean and surfers.

    Surfers Corner specifically was a whole great vibe! A community on their own. I got to surf for the first time. People on surfers corner were friendly and open. Close enough to Checkers to buy groceries. A nice balance of food places and great places to buy swimming and surfing equipment.

    I loved the views, and the marina area is nice for running and walking. I did not go to the beach but I believe it to be good for surfing etc. a small trip South takes one to an array of vibrant restaurants. Really great atmosphere and a wonderful area to run and walk in.

    The venue is unique, with its infamous >100 stairs to get there. Definitely recommend ditching the suitcase and using a rucksack. Breakfast was amazing and staff most helpful and friendly. Even on a miserable day, the views are amazing - looking down over Muizenberg and out towards Simons Town. It has charm and is far from the commercialised hotel type establishments.

    Very comfortable large king bed, with good linen. Fully fitted kitchen, large unit which is spacious and has a lovely view. Very central to Muizenberg beach and easy access to main roads. The owner, Trevor was very accomodating and lives on the premise.

    Can't find a better spot near the Muizenberg beach. Security is great and works well, private underground parking is a big bonus in this area. The hosts are very helpful and responsive. Easy walking distance to surf shops, restaurants and a checkers.
