We use Malelane as our last stop into Kruger. Being 7 hours away not only is it a good resting stop after a long drive but also the opportunity to stock up on Supplies. The room we were initially offered was not fit for habitation. Our next room on first impression seemed better but we found it had mouldy shower recess, no hot water, broken blinds and window coverings, no phone , a non functioning power point so no hair dryer and chipped outdoor furniture.. We did not get what we paid for and when bought to management’s attention all we got were excuses. The place is in a very quiet location overlooking the crocodile river which I enjoyed the most. The food was nice too, with friendly staff/guest house workers always going the extra mile just to make our stay comfortable. The view across to Kruger national park was exceptional. We were able to see game and birds while relaxing looking over the water as we ate our dinner. Truly special. It is close to Malalane as well for shopping and eating out. We chose to eat at the Inn as it was a nice evening, and the food was fresh and well prepared. There was plenty. The first day we had a packed breakfast as we went out early to reach Malelane Gate to enter Kruger Park when the gate opened. The accommodation is 10km away from the gate to the park.The property has an excellent location, overlooking the Crocodile River.
