best breakfast during a stay, I’ve had in South Africa (been there for 1,5 month). security was on point. both gates, alarm and everything. the hosts was extremely kind and helpful regarding with our continuous road trip through South Africa. I cannot emphasize enough how good value for money this place has. we only stayed for a night as we only needed a place to stay the night. could’ve easily stayed for more days.

    I loved my stay at Ammazulu African Palace, from the very friendly and efficient welcome, to the wonderfully weird statues in the garden, unique architecture and amazing display of beadwork/art throughout the premises. The building felt so safe, tranquil and yet exotic, with beautiful views of the Kloof gorge. My room/suite was lovely, with a fridge, kettle and sink, it felt like a home. If ever I visit Kloof again, I will definitely stay here. And I would recommend Ammazulu for anyone needing a calm, quiet retreat.

    This is the fourth time I have stayed in Kloof for business. This B&B is by far the best place to stay. I love the house, the people, and the fact that it feels like home away from home. You can go to the dining room anytime to sit next to the pool and watch the peacocks and guineafowl chase each other. There is wine and juice in the fridge if you want a little sundowner. Angie communicates well and helps you plan ahead when there is loadshedding.

    Probably my favourite guest house in the whole of South Africa. It has style, fascinating architecture, trees, trees and more trees with a view down the Kloof. Unbeatable, but the best is the warm welcome from Lyn and her attention to detail in everything she does and has done to make this such a special place to stay.

    A comfortable and uncomplicated stay with my elderly parents, in a very pretty setting overlooking the Krantzkloof Nature Reserve. And the bonus was that we all slept so well ... such comfy beds and warm duvets for those really chilly nights.
