The cottage is perfect for a short or long stay.
The cottage is perfect for a short or long stay. There is a large back patio with built-in braai, protected from the water and a front stoep to soak in the beautiful views. The bathrooms are really spacious with large walk in showers. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. It is a very quaint and tranquil little town bout 30 km from Oudtshoorn in the Western Cape. There is an ample amount of restaurants and wine shops and a few souvenir shops. Spending a full day to experience the real charm of the little village. De Rust is a small rustic town ideal for an overnight stop enroute somewhere else. Everything is within walking distance. The town is spotlessly clean, people are very friendly and helpful. It is surrounded by magnificent mountains and very close to the must see Meirings Poort. A small town surrounded by the great outdoors. Close to Meiringspoort and the waterfall. A great stopover for coffee or a meal or to get well basic necessities if you stay in the area. The Domein Doornkraal padstal is an absolute must on the way to Oudtshoorn. Stay at Aardts cabin if you staying over in the area.Guest review byBarendSouth Africa

Its like stepping back into the 1960's. Its an interesting experience to stay over in the hotel It is not a luxury hotel, all the furniture is like it was 30-50 years ago, a bit nostalgic. It is a lovely studio unit that is well furnished for its size. It even has its own inverter to avoid loadshedding.
