This has become one of our favorite places to get away with friends/family. There is something for EVERYONE! From tours to shopping to relaxing on the beach. We live in the Tampa Bay area and discovered Siesta Key about 20 years ago. We loved it then and were so happy to come back and stay again for the holiday weekend. The beach is as beautiful as it was when we first experienced it. The little village has grown with lots more restaurants and shops on offer. We loved the market, which was convenient for picking up groceries, and the liquor store was just next door. First time here. Beach is the best of the best period. Trolley takes you everywhere. Definitely rent a shade shelter which can be set up for you on most parts of the beach. Did ebike tour on beach which is good. Crescent Beach in front of the Aloha Kai is the very best beach section of all. Food was good at Gilligan's. Best Fish and Chips at Captain Curt's. Parking in the village is either not available or very expensive. I am glad I didn't rent a car. Took an Uber to and from the airport and that worked out well for me because I was there to hang at the beach. Siesta Key was a great place to visit.
Siesta Key was a great place to visit. There are many beaches with beautiful scenery. There was a tourist type area with many smaller shops and restaurants where you can easily spend the afternoon. A short drive and you will find a variety of restaurants and things to do.
