To truly appreciate Bishop you have to slow down.
To truly appreciate Bishop you have to slow down. It’s best experienced not just looked at. Rich cultures, good food, and beautiful scenery that can be explored in numerous ways. I understand economics but it is losing its charm chasing the quick $. It used to be a nice place to go overnight to just relax, that’s gone. I hope that a better balance of expectations for the town can be found. Great place to stay along 395 as it is the largest town in the area and has the most choices for lodging and dining. The bristlecone pine forest is nearby and definitely worth the drive up to the grove.Guest review byunclexeres - 10.0

Fun little town.
Fun little town. It was just a stop over on a long road trip and didn't have any time to explore. I definitely plan on coming back - the 395 is my favorite CA highway! Check out Fossil Falls, Manzanar, and, if you like creepy, Randsburg (all south of Bishop). Schats Roadhouse has AWESOME burgers!Guest review byEliseUnited States - 10.0
