The people of Avcilar are very nice, friendly and helpful. I felt safe walking around by myself even in the evening. It’s not very touristy which was nice. However that does mean that there’s not a lot of people who speak English, however everyone is willing to make it work with gestures and Google translate. At the first day we received a dirty room with hole in the bedcover and hair in it and towels had holes too, than they changed our room and we had problem with the shower hose that keeps water out of it, they( öz and mustafa) fixed this problems. They didn't change the towels every day until we had a discussion with kadir and he told us that normally in a three star hotel it isn't usual to do this. We stayed for One week there and finally after our discussion with kadir who was very impolite, we received the last two days clean towels and our room was cleand. Location wise, a bit far from the main attractions, e.g., grand bazaar, blue mosque, etc. Main mains of transport, for someone like us (3 adults, 2 kids, x2 families), was taxi (which is a bit uneconomic).
