It is interesting to learn of its history. Stories about the history of the place were fairly easy to find. Also about the Sami heritage. There is a nice walk on the hill. And there is a very friendly cafe which serves good food.

I arrived with the evening flight to Vilhelmina and had received detailed instructions on how and where to pick up the key for my little apartment. It was very clean and tidy with beautiful furniture. Nice windows, beautiful colors of these wooden houses. It was quiet and peaceful. Downtown Vilhelmina is just a 5-7 minute walk.
They provide no breakfast, but I had a kitchen. Went to the only café in town anyway to have a sandwich and a coffee.

Nice small hotel in the middle of the town. Easy parking and a warm welcome. After a long drive nice to drink something on the veranda, while waiting for the daily husmanskost. Great food. The next morning surprised by the fact the buffet was gone. Some miscommunication as the new lady thought it was breakfast until 8. But no problem, come into the kitchen and find what you need. Same as at home. We love it.

Kind hostess was very welcoming. The room was cosy and it made you feel like you were at home. Free parking just behind the building which is in the centre of Vilhelmina.
We came just in time to try the dinner buffet, which was excellent. The same can be said for breakfast.

It was quiet, clean and comfortable. The hotel is old and in the process of renovation. The window opens for fresh air but that air is limited by the heavy blockout curtain. There was free parking onsite. The second level room is perfectly acceptable for a short stopover.
