This is Banaue's original backpackers favourite. It has been around for decades, and I stayed here about 30 years ago. The place is still going strong and still run by the same woman. They have kept up with times, and improved a lot, even extended the balcony restaurant which is overlooking the rice terraces. It's a 'one stop shop' with a convenience store, souvenir shop, Guesthouse and restaurant all in one. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and had an attached bathroom with a hot shower. Good lightning, window with a view, a fan and good airflow, so my damp clothes could finally dry up. Charging outlets in the room. Excellent WiFi. I came from Batad and there is only 1 Jeepney so I arrived early, but they gave me the room straight away. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating and the view from the terrace is incredible. Smoking area as well.

Really good location with an amazing view from both the room and the restaurant. Our room was clean and very comfortable, big thanks to the staff, they are all friendly and helpful especially Joshua who arranged our transport and tour. Everything went smoothly. A great base for exploring Banaue. I definitely recommend staying here.

The light in the room is strong and could be arranged better but it is fine for one night. Be careful, the access to the hotel is not easy if you have many luggages. It takes 15 minutes from the parking to reach the hotel but once you arrive the view is amazing. Food is tasty. Friendly and helpful staff.

Beatriz didn’t just host us—she orchestrated an amazing itinerary for our four-day stay in Banaue and the surrounding area. Her cooking? Absolutely delicious, especially the curry dishes (we may or may not have considered smuggling some home). The room and bathroom were spotless, the beds wonderfully comfortable, but the real highlight? Her laughter—so contagious it could probably cure a bad mood in seconds. We loved everything. The traditional houses are very well done, great to enjoy, and comfortable. The garden is beautiful, with great views of the mountains. It is clear that the lodge was really made with great care and love and attention to detail. The hosts were amazing - very welcoming, really making you feel like home, organizing the tours, and trying to best suit our dietary needs. Claire is an excellent cook, really enjoyed discovering Filipino food through her dishes. Our whole experience was perfect, we were very happy to discover such a wonderful place, and would go back anytime if possible. Many thanks again!!
