This is not only an amazing and unique place but, it also has the highest standards of service and delicious food too. Everything is top quality and the attention to detail is excellent: ponchos, slippers, binoculars all provided and made it feel like home, but much more special. Virginia and team worked tirelessly to ensure that our stay was perfect in every way. Whilst not cheap, it is worth every penny and more for such an incredible experience.

Lovely garden setting, delicious breakfast and spotless, comfy room! Alex was helpful. We arrived after dark, so waking to the mountain views and fresh cooked breakfast was extra special. Staff helped us with luggage to take a taxi to the train to Machu Picchu.

We stayed here twice — before and after our trip to Machu Picchu — and the owner kindly let us store our luggage for free. Additionally, you can enjoy a beautiful view from the second floor of the guesthouse. The best part was that both rooms we stayed in had hot showers. It’s also a restaurant, and I highly recommend coming here for dinner. Compared to other restaurants in Ollantaytambo, it’s more affordable and just as delicious.

    Ollantaytambo is a gem of a town, my favorite so far of the Sacred Valley towns I have stayed in. The historic part of town feels like it must have felt with the Incas were living there in precolonial days. The streets are kept immaculately clean. Everything you might need is within short walking distance but does not intrude on the authenticity of the town. The views of the Inca ruins on all sides take you back in time. I would gladly go back for a longer stay. The constant flow of large tourist vans down the main street can be a bit annoying as they don't seem to belong, but you can avoid this. One great thing about Kamma Guest House is that it is not in the main stream.

    Awesome characterful town well worth an overnight stay. We would love to return. The archeological site is stunning but don’t forget to spend some time exploring Pinkuylluma. The hike is steep and challenging but short and so worth it.

    Strongly recommend to stay in the city instead of doing your Machu Picchu trip from Cusco directly. It would be much less tiring and the city of Ollantaytambo is very cosy and comfortable. Specially if you are coming from outside Cusco and flying in, my recommendation to fly into Cusco and go straight to Ollantaytambo, stay here and visit Machu Picchu. Following by this, go back to Cusco for your stay and fly back. This was a good way we thought to beat the potential high altitude sickness.

    Ollantaytambo is a very interesting place in itself.

    Ollantaytambo is a very interesting place in itself. It can also be used as a starting point to visit Machu Picchu and other interesting archeological sites around. It's about 2 hours from Cusco by taxy.

    A delightful small town set in dramatic scenery. A bustling town square and a quieter and interesting old quarter with a variety of bars and restaurants The two sets of ruins either side of town are worth a visit for the views.

    If going to Machu Picchu or hiking the inca trail, it's better to stay in Ollantaytambo than Cusco. Otherwise you have a 2 hour bus drive to Ollantaytambo anyway to catch the train. Cute old Incan town with amazing ruins.

    Lovely family run hotel just out of the centre of Ollantaytambo. The room was comfortable and breakfast was substantial. What made this hotel exceptional is the hosts Edith and Stan, you will not find a warmer welcome anywhere on your travels. Edith was so helpful arranging a transfer from Cusco airport, sorting out a tuk tuk to take us to the rail station, and arranging a return to Cusco and somewhere to store our bags while we looked around. We were only here a few days but felt like we were staying with friends. Superb.

    Hotel location is pretty close to everywhere, close to Peru Rail/Inka Rail station and Ollantaytambo Fortress, also to Plaza de Armas,. You can do all in walking distance. Bedroom is nice and clean, facing Ollantaytambo river and fortress. Beds are comfortable and shower with hot water and high pressure. Mr.Derek is very nice, provided us many information of what we needed to know, also helping us to enter Ollantaytambo when we came back from Machu Picchu. Thanks Mr.Derek...

    Perfect and central location for our stay in Ollantaytambo. Easy short walking distance to the ruins, souvenir market, train station and lots of restaurants nearby. Angela, Cesar and their daughter were lovely and provided the best cooked to order breakfast at their restaurant next door. They also kept our luggages for one night when we went to Machu Picchu. Highly recommended.

    Awesome hotel, very spacious and excellent staff. Location was very close to the main square and close to the Ollantaytambo ruins. Room was comfortable for our needs. Hotel offered to safely keep our luggage while we took our overnight trip to Aguas Calientes for Machu Picchu. They accepted Credit Card as form of payment. Breakfast was very limited but ok for us.
