A Hidden Gem – Warm Hospitality and Comfort in Every Detail I feel incredibly lucky to have found this little gem of a hotel. From the moment we arrived, the warmth and care of the owner made this more than just a place to stay—it became a comforting haven during a challenging time. My partner fell ill during our trip, and the owner could not have been more compassionate and supportive. She even ran to the pharmacy herself to ensure he received the right medication. That level of personal care is rare and unforgettable. The room itself was perfect: spacious, simple, clean, and very comfortable. The beds were great for a good night's sleep, and the bathroom was modern with an excellent hot shower and fantastic pressure. Everything felt fresh and well looked after, with daily cleaning that kept the space spotless. Breakfast was often described as basic in previous reviews, but I thought it was excellent. It included three fresh rolls, eggs, ham, cheese, jam, tea or coffee, and fresh orange juice—not the sugary kind, but the real thing. It’s ideal for anyone who enjoys starting the day with a healthy, protein-rich meal. One thing that surprised me is how much nicer the hotel is in person compared to the photos online—they really don’t do it justice. It’s a charming, peaceful spot, and the pool has been a lovely bonus. I’ve been swimming every day—refreshing and just what I needed. Also you can sit outside your room and have a coffee and soak up the wonderful views. This is not a massive five-star resort, nor does it pretend to be—but it offers something far more special: genuine hospitality, a clean and comfortable place to rest, and an experience that feels personal and sincere. I would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-run stay.

Nazca lines have always been a mystery to us and finally...

Nazca lines have always been a mystery to us and finally through this trip, by physically being there, we now can understand how the Nazca lines evolved and their purpose. We also enjoyed visiting and learning about the Palpa lines. It is a pity that the government did not invest more in upkeeping the city (there was so much trash just everywhere). It is also a pity that the only way people can see some of the most popular lines was through a flight (which some people just don't have the stomach for). I felt there could have been much more lookouts that can be officially set up, especially since this was a UNESCO designation. We also went to see the Cahuachi Pyramids nearby which we thought was really cool. Unfortunately, it did not seem to be well promoted and the museum was closed when we were there.

    The Nazca Lines were excellent!

The Nazca Lines were excellent! But Nazca isn't just about the Lines--there are other archaeological sites of which the Nazca people are very proud. The Pyramids at Cahuachi and Chauchilla Cemetery should not be missed, and the Aqueducts of Cantalloc are also very interesting.

Nasca was a fascinating place full of interesting history.

Nasca was a fascinating place full of interesting history. The local guides on the tourist we took were very well informed and spoke good English. we took a half hour flight over the Nasca lines, which was a great way to view all the figures. We went to the Cantalloc aqueducts and wells, Paradones and Chahuacha ruins. We also visited the market which has a more variety of cheap fruits. All of these things we achieved in just one busy day, before taking the bus at 10 in the evening.

The city has superb surroundings for those who want to explore ancient Native American heritage. However, the city itself needs a beauty renovation, although it was not the most unattractive city we have seen in Peru.

Nazca, Peru, a land of mysteries and wonders, left me...

Nazca, Peru, a land of mysteries and wonders, left me utterly spellbound. The trifecta of Cahuachi, the Nazca Lines, and Cantalloc made my journey truly unforgettable. Cahuachi, the ancient ceremonial center, immersed me in the enigmatic world of the Nazca culture. The sight of the towering adobe pyramids and the sacred plazas spoke volumes about their sophisticated civilization. The Nazca Lines, those intricate geoglyphs etched into the desert floor, were a sight to behold from the scenic flight. The colossal shapes of animals and geometrical figures sparked my imagination, leaving me in awe of the artistic prowess of an ancient civilization. In Cantalloc, the awe-inspiring underground aqueduct system showcased the ingenious engineering skills of the Nazca people. Venturing into the subterranean channels and witnessing their advanced water management techniques was nothing short of remarkable. Throughout my stay, the warmth and friendliness of the locals made me feel at home. I savored authentic Peruvian delicacies, including delicious ceviche, which heightened the cultural experience. Nazca is a place that transcends time and captivates the soul. It offers a unique blend of history, mystery, and culture. If you have a thirst for exploration and a fascination with ancient civilizations, Nazca is a destination that will leave you awestruck and yearning for more.
