We had a very nice welcoming from the owner. The house is indeed very cozy, a mix from Grandma's House (but only the good stuff) and a bit of modern stuff from IKEA which creates a comfortable and kind of familiar retro feeling. If we are ever close to leknes again, we probably coming back there. Best wishes to the owner!

The apartment was absolutely spotless and was brand new with an incredible interior (the bathroom was very inspiring). The hosts were so welcoming especially their two young girls who were so kind and well behaved, on departure they even gave us flowers! I couldn’t recommend this place more. We had a perfect stay here. The owners are very friendly, open, kind, and communicative people. The house is very well equipped. The salon and kitchen are very big, so as a group of 8 adults we still felt confortable. We really liked many details like old photos of the house or its surrounding. The terrace was a perfect spot for breakfasts and late suppers during midnight sun. The grass around the house is very well-maintained and is surrounded by a meadow with beautiful wild flowers. Parking easily fits 3 big cars. There are also 2 bathrooms with one shower each and 2 separate toilets, which allowed our big group to take care of ourselves after hiking real quick. The views from the apartment (any direction you look) are beautiful. The location is close enough to more touristic western part of Lofoten and very close to area of Leknes - perfect for us as we were visiting both classic and less known hikes. To sum up, I definately recommend!

Wow such an amazing hostel! I stayed at quite a few but this is absolutely fantastic. Everything from the small notes in the interior, to the very calm location, to the food - all great! It really has a true hostel feeling which I loved and I met many great people as the facilities are so welcoming to it. Big plus to the organisation of events for guests! Be aware that it is the middle of nowhere if no access to car, but the kitchen is great (both for guests bringing food and the cafe’s) so you won’t go hungry.

The property feels like home. I felt so comfortable from the very first minute! Seeing Matias running the hostel alongside his family, it’s clear that they’ve built a beautiful, welcoming community. I was delighted to stay a bit longer and was able to work from the cabin, which made my work days cozy and enjoyable. All the staff seem genuinely happy. it’s lovely to see how they balance everything, keeping things calm and well-organized. When I arrived, I was a bit afraid about the lockers, but it wasn’t an issue at all. everyone was very respectful of others’ belongings. Another thing I wasn’t familiar with was the coin-operated showers, which are apparently quite common in Norway. But once I learned that a few coins give you a few minutes of hot water, it became a great way to conserve water. We often talk about caring for the environment, but I’d never actually taken eco friendly steps before this and honestly this influenced my whole perspective. My entire stay was incredible! I highly recommend this hostel. If you’re looking for a peaceful place with some adventure, good workspaces, friendly people, free activities, and great value, this is the perfect spot. We even had pancake day, and I saw Clara baking cinnamon buns, the smell reminded me of visiting my grandma’s house when she baking a cake! I was lucky to be there at the same time as a group of travelers who had first met at the hostel 30 years ago. Now Matias is the new owner, and I really hope I get to come back and see everyone again someday.

I highly recommend this place! The staff is very friendly. We stayed in a cabin — it was very clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The view from the window was beautiful. There was enough space for our whole family — there were four of us. The staff treats guests with respect. I recommend this place for a relaxing stay, overnight accommodation, and a comfortable time.
