At first, we were a bit concerned about the location of the house, but the stay turned out to exceed all our expectations. Despite the narrow road, the house is accessible by car — even with a larger vehicle. After driving it a couple of times, we quickly got used to it. The only occasional delay came from the sheep crossing the road, which added to the charm of the experience. The people living nearby were incredibly friendly and easy to communicate with, which made us feel very welcome. The house itself is spacious and equipped with all the basic essentials. One of the highlights was the presence of their adorable cats, who completely stole our hearts. The surrounding nature is stunning — there's a large hiking area just uphill, and when the weather is nice, you can enjoy a swim in the lake nearby. This is a perfect spot for calm, slow-paced travel and truly immersing yourself in the beauty of Norwegian nature.

    We had a wonderful stay at Hermann’s place in Markhus, near Langfoss in Etne kommune. The house was cozy, clean, and fully equipped with everything we needed. One of the absolute highlights was the breathtaking fjord view right from the living room and kitchen — it made every moment feel special, whether we were having breakfast or just relaxing indoors. The location is peaceful and surrounded by nature, yet close to incredible spots like Langfoss. Hermann was a fantastic host — welcoming, responsive, and clearly dedicated to creating a great experience for guests. We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!
