    Beaufort is a small and quiet town, but I really enjoyed the river, especially the firefly cruise at night. I only ate at some local coffee shops, and the food was simple but tasty. For river activities the lodge arranged the transport. Even as a solo traveller, I felt comfortable here — the river cruise was fun to join and a nice, relaxing vibe.

    Good to stay overnight if you do not wish to travel 2+ hours...

    Good to stay overnight if you do not wish to travel 2+ hours back to KK after your wetland adventures. You'll need own transport, or arrange for a pickup/dropoff; Grab does not seem to work. Neithet did Granfood: app works fine but no restaurants available
