Outstanding service and beautiful setting. We are so glad we stayed in Milam Tulum, a dreamy newest property in the area of La Veleta, a must see trendy hotspot for those that want to experience the holistic side all in a unique luxurious ambient. It's modern style with wide open spaces invites for the senses to relax and simple enjoy as you let the friendly staff take care of every single detail, special thanks to our Concierge Aranza who recommended and arranged for us a lovely itinerary to the Mayan Ruins of Tulum and Coba and also a private shuttle service from and to the Cancun airport directly . Our first visit will surely not be the last, we are already planning and looking forward to our return.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Every member of the staff was so nice, probably the friendliest we experienced during our trip around Mexico! The property is very nicely decorated, from the rooms to the shared spaces and pool area. Breakfast was lovely. Good location as a base for exploring Tulum. They also provide free bikes for travel to the ruins and beach (though not every type of frame works for beginners, and unfortunately the ones that did were either already taken or dysfunctional) - this is an added bonus though, so we are not complaining.

Exceptional staff!!! Tania and Paola were extremely welcoming and kind to my family during our entire stay. They were very attentive to every small detail. Bardo is… unique… When arriving at night, at the front desk, we could already feel that the atmosphere was different then other places we’ve been too. At the very first step you make your way to your room, you know that you are on a journey. When passing by the pool with all those trees, plants, lights, and decorations it gets clearer why you came here. You can feel the balance and respect that has been put in between the style of the infrastructures and the nature that is surrounding it, making it a place of harmony. Once we’ve arrived at the end of the path to our room, we could only be amazed by the simplicity, authenticity and taste of decoration. We were about to live in connection with Mother Nature. The transformation starts here. Not only the hotel made us feel reconnected to nature but the themazcal made us reconnect to our true selves and we felt more alive. It’s an incredible experience that I recommend to anyone who meditates and is looking for a higher self awareness and spiritual connection. Also the staff made us feel welcomed and took great care of us at anytime and any moment! Special thanks to Jay, Fernando and Shio at the front desk, who were really helpful and devoted when ever we needed help; to Alejandro, Martin, Manual, and Martin for there smiles, positive vibes and sympathique but professional way of being; to Gloria and the massage team who are very professional and caring; to Diego and Claudia, for they’re open hearts, minds, spirits and amazing work; to the cooking staff for there delicious dishes; to the security staff, who made us feel safe; and finally to the cleaning and gardening staff that makes this places magnificent, cared, respected and always tidy.     As a family with tweens we did not enjoy Tulum & will not be...

    As a family with tweens we did not enjoy Tulum & will not be back. The kids were not allowed many places/ restaurants. Algea covered the beach (it was july), the restaurants were priced higher than where we live but the quality of the food was poor. If you are a family I would skip and go elsewhere. The cenotes in the reason are awesome!

    Tulum is the jungle so go prepared. Repellent and sunscreen. Avoid taxi cabs it’s way too expensive. Opt to rent a car you will see way more of Tulum that way. Make sure to spend time at the cenotes. Avoid August because the seaweed makes the ocean unbearable.

    Once you know the right places to go, where to book transportation, which tours to take, I’m sure you will have the best experience and you won’t want to leave! The agency @xclusivetravelw helped me with concierge service with no charge, and they recommended the best spots, my camera roll is full of amazing content from Tulum.

    Tulum is a city you'd have to explore more, especially with car access which we didn't have. Things could get expensive fast with the transportation, souvenir shops, and cafes that cater to tourists. I spent $35 USD on brunch, which wasn't a lot or filling at all. Yet you turn the corner, and a birria taqueria fills you up for only $16 USD. Watch your spending.

    Tulum south is good, friendly and helpful people . It didn’t seem right to pay to visit paradise beech. No clear guidelines to visit beeches via resorts. We visited Tulum ruins but very unclear about the genuine ticket office as we were stopped at three places to buy tickets by unofficial representatives.

    It was just not the vibe for us.

    It was just not the vibe for us. As far as a beach location, they are not nice enough to be pristine and visit for the beaches. The hotel zone of Tulum is a packed road by the beach with hotel after hotel and boutique after boutique, and people everywhere. And again, the beach not that nice. The BEST part was the cenotes, and they are everywhere, but expensive to visit and swim in at $40 a pop. We visit Costa Rica a lot, and were hoping for a similar vibe but it was not. It is not lush or tropical, it is a town built up next to a beach, dry and hot and arrid. Casa Altamar, great restaraunt, Tulum Brewery, great restaurant and ceviche is stellar. Aktun Chen cenote is beautiful. Dos Ojos was pricey but the bat cave section was super cool. We also did a "snorkel" trip from Puerto Aventuras, but it was 15 minutes of snorkeling in rough waters, and 1 hour hanging out in the water and drinking. This area and it's activities seem to be ideal for partying, girls trips etc. and not really enjoying the beauty of nature. We are all looking for something different.

    Beautiful boutique hotel/hostel in the centre of Tulum. Great if you are looking for more laid-back, bohemian, artsy vibes. We took the twin room and it was very cozy and also had working air conditioning and fan. The vibe in the general area is great, very relaxed with an amazing bar and pool. The personnel was very generous and kind and helped us in every way. The breakfast was included in the price but absolutely amazing. The premise also has bicycles you can use for free.

    We really liked the location of the hotel, which is right off the main street of Tulum and at the same time right on the beach. The small houses in the local style are especially great. our large open bathroom was a real gem. The view directly from the terrace and access to the beach was a great opportunity. The restaurant and beach area are also stylish and in very good condition.
