GermanyThe Wild Culture Yala was probably the best accommodation we had during our three weeks trip in Sri Lanka. Absolutely luxurious for a reasonable rate. The staff, especially Suresh and Dushan, was extraordinarily good. They read our every wish from our eyes and respected our privacy at the same time. Thumbs up!!

GermanyWe loved our stay. We were in Yala just one night and took advantage of the pool the first day and booked a safari for the next morning.
The hotel is wonderfully clean and well maintained.
But what was even better was the staff. We are both vegans and the staff did everything right for the dinner. We got a full set meal rice and curry with 6 different currys - even soy meat curry! And this was just perfect.
The sundown from our hotel room was just insane btw.
They also gave us a vegan breakfast to take with us on the safari!

South AfricaWe absolutely loved our stay here. We were only at the hotel for 1 night but wished we could have stayed longer. The hotel staff are amazing & went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. We were able to book a safari through the hotel & they were kind enough to arrange a packed breakfast for us since we left at 5am. The grounds are lovely & well looked after and the swimming pool was great. The room was one of the nicest we have stayed in during our trip and had so many nice touches and amenities. The restaurant was also very nice & had vegetarian options which was great. It was also amazing to have room service after a long day of driving. Can’t recommend this place enough!

SwedenSince our arrival, we have been treated with immense respect, and all the staff members are wonderfully pleasant and helpful. The surroundings are a peaceful oasis, the food is incredibly delicious, and the bedroom is very clean. We visited a safari, and the hotel assisted us with a driver and a guide—which allowed us to see elephants and even a leopard in the wild! A heartfelt thank you for such a wonderful welcome and unforgettable experiences; we highly recommend this place and will definitely return. ☺️🙏❤️

It definitely is an experience worth trying. The tree house has all the comforts you need but yet kept on the simple side. Don't expect much and you will get a lot. Nice food Bbq and big fire lit for you in the evening to give you a chance to relax and talk about your day activities. It was great to be left alone and the silence of the night. We visited Yala for two days (with two separate game drives - one evening and one morning one) and although we enjoyed the animals we observed, we did not have any sightings of leopards despite being the national park with the highest concentration in the world. But that is nature so we were just unlucky on those days. However, the most disappointing aspect of Yala was the sheer number of vehicles allowed into the park at one time. As soon as elephants or leopards are sighted, drivers communicate among themselves and vehicles all rush to the scene creating a massive traffic jams. Terrible time. No wild animals as expected. Roads are all around the jungle which is pretty disturbing to the wild life. After all it is supposed to be a protected zone for wild life. Jeeps are crawling every corner of the territory. Amused to see all of that disturbing scenes in a wild life protected zone. It's like business zone. I loved Yala.
I loved Yala. The number of different animals seen was slightly disappointing but apparently wash outs due to rain prevented us from accessing some internal roads.
