We had a wonderful time here. The room was very comfortable and clean, with a private pool and a beautiful river view. The bed was super cozy and the AC worked perfectly. Breakfast was excellent and really delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend this place if you're visiting Wilpattu!

What a wonderful stay we had at Taru Villas. We booked last minute and were greeted warmly by Mark when we arrived. We quickly realised that as it was low season, we had the entire hotel to ourselves! We were upgraded to the best room on the property with a gorgeous jacuzzi overlooking the jungle. The room was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Full board was included in the room price and we enjoyed an outstanding 3 course breakfast, lunch and dinner cooked specially for us by the chef. The key highlight for us was the outstanding service and friendliness of the staff. They couldn’t do enough for us. A lovely touch at the end of our trip was that they had arranged for us to plant a tree in their gardens, and had prepared a beautiful plaque with our names inscribed. It was a truly memorable trip and couldn’t have been any better. I highly recommend to everyone!

Set within the forest it is an oasis of calm. The staff were friendly and keen to help. The accommodation is quirky, fairly basic but comfortable. The food was excellent and plentiful. There are a number of activities and excursions available, or you can simply relax on your veranda up in the trees. There are a number of chill out zones.

Our stay at Wild Wadi Wilpattu was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and incredible service. We had the opportunity to embark on two incredible safaris with the knowledgeable and friendly staff. The wildlife safari was absolutely breathtaking—we were lucky enough to spot leopards, elephants, crocodiles, and so much more in their natural habitat. The boat trip through the mangroves and lagoon was equally magical, offering stunning views and an up-close encounter with Sri Lanka’s diverse ecosystem. The food was simply outstanding—authentic Sri Lankan cuisine at its finest! Both breakfast and dinner were full of flavour, freshly prepared, and truly showcased the best of local dishes. The accommodation was comfortable, well-equipped, and immersed in nature. Waking up to the sounds of the jungle, surrounded by monkeys and wildlife, was an unforgettable experience. It felt like a true escape into the heart of Sri Lanka’s wilderness. What truly made our stay so special was the wonderful staff and the incredibly kind owner, who went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience possible. Their passion for hospitality and wildlife made us feel right at home. And last but not least—the absolute star of our stay was Duan, the owner’s young puppy. He is, without a doubt, the most adorable and charming little dog we’ve ever met! If you’re looking for an unforgettable adventure, breathtaking nature, and top-tier hospitality, Wild Wadi Wilpattu is the place to be! We can’t wait to return.

The host was really nice and managed to organise the safari at the last minute. We saw elephants near the river in the night, it was incredible!

Our stay at Wilpattu Nature Resort was unforgettable! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, offering a peaceful escape right next to nature. We enjoyed delicious home-cooked meals, especially the breakfast and dinner, which were full of local flavors. The highlight of our stay was the kayaking, lagoon safari, and camping experiences. Being so close to Wilpattu National Park, we also joined a thrilling safari and spotted incredible wildlife. The resort even has its own island and two camping sites, perfect for adventure lovers. The peaceful riverside setting, friendly staff, and unique activities like fishing, cycling, and boat tours make this place truly special. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway near nature with a mix of comfort and adventure, Wilpattu Nature Resort is the perfect choice!
