Beautiful place, beautiful swimming pool that was extremely clean. Very hospitable host. Beautiful nature around including a big river where you can see people bathing and having fun. It was our first night in Sri Lanka and we loved it.

Lovely clean room, personal service and great food

Incredibly attentive staff. We had swim after dark and they brought drinks to us poolside. Our son was to tired to wait for dinner so they set it up at our room instead. Thank you for the special & beautiful memories

Casa Heliconia is a hidden gem that truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were swept away by the beauty and serenity of this tropical paradise. This review hardly does justice to the incredible experience we had during our stay. Nestled amidst lush greenery, Casa Heliconia offers a unique and immersive experience that transports you to a world of natural beauty and tranquility. The property is a work of art in itself, with meticulously designed gardens and exquisite attention to detail. Every corner of this boutique retreat is a photo-worthy moment waiting to be captured. The staff at Casa Heliconia are genuinely exceptional. From the warm welcome upon our arrival to the personalized service throughout our stay, they went above and beyond to make us feel like valued guests. The level of attentiveness and professionalism demonstrated by the team was truly remarkable. The dining experience at Casa Heliconia was a culinary delight. Each meal was a culinary masterpiece, featuring fresh and locally sourced ingredients. The chef's creativity shone through in every dish, and we were constantly surprised and delighted by the flavors and presentations.

We chose to stay here for a few days after we landed at midnight from NZ . Beautiful property. Very comfortable, everything clean and staff exceptionally helpful & friendly. The property is a wonderful historic house that has been maintained to a high standard. The pool is amazing and overlooks the beautiful lake. The food is really good and the property gardens are on an impressively beautiful lake.The staff , chef, manager were all incredible and made us feel so welcome. They gave us a tour of the property’s coconut grove and gardens with cuisine menu sourced from fruit and veges grown on site, as well as guided complementary visit to local temple , weavers and a bike ride around the lake.

Ruwanara Royal Majestry is by far the best hotel in the Kurunegela district and one of the best in Sri Lanka! It is a hidden gem and I cannot emphasis how much I enjoyed my stayed here !! To start off with the rooms are more specious than you can ever imagine, it is bigger than the photos ! The beds are extremely luxurious and big, the bathroom is so large and you have enough room to store all your toiletries. Next the room itself is equipped with a big wardrobe, iron and ironing boards, mini fridge and even a nice private study area for relaxation or business work. The staff, are the epitome of Sri Lankan hospitality! From the beginning we were made to feel very welcome into this property and with open arms they made our stay the best stay ever ! This is my home away from home and next time I am in Sri Lanka, I will stay here and will be recommending this hotel to all our family and friends as well! Special thanks to Kavindu, Amila, Anura, chef Priyantha for catering to our every need and making us feel like royalty with their treatment !! They were so kind and I will never forget their hospitality as this kind of quality and service is extremely rare to find ! The property itself is tucked away behind some beautiful paddy feels and our room overlooked the most amazing pool which is cleaned daily! The pool itself we have been in several times and it is clean and extremely refreshing on the warmer days. When we weren’t in the pool we were in the comfort of the AC’d hotel room, watching TV or sleeping on the comfy beds. A perfect holiday! Ruwanara is one of a kind and you won’t find a hotel like this anywhere in Sri Lanka or surrounding areas. We saw many magnificent weddings taking place and we learnt it caters up to 450 person weddings and can accomodate guests with rooms as well! I have recommended this hotel to all my family for any of their upcoming weddings as I think the service and location is just perfect !! I cannot wait to be back.

It was great and nice hospitality

Excellent place for everything, from the facility (the super comfortable bed, the stylish decoration, the beautiful pool) to the impeccable staff and the top quality food. We booked for 2 nights and extended as we enjoyed the place so much. The staff is super nice, speak perfect English and super efficient. A lot of wildlife around the property for nature lovers. All the food (both Western and Asian) we had were excellent at an affordable price. After 8 weeks of having different curries in Sri Lanka, I am confident to say that Bird Park makes the best curry. There are plenty of on-site activities to keep you entertained too. Overall a 10/10.

Nice place to stay.Rooms were clean,staff was kind and location was good.We really enjoyed our visit.

Highly recommended place. I stayed there as an university student to prepare for the exam the next day. I would like to say that this place is the best place even for a vacation.The owner treated me like a member of her own family 🙏
