Tanabe was our starting point for our Kumano Kodo trek so we stayed in Tanabe only one day not realizing how much there is to do in Tanabe. If we ever come to Tanabe again, we will be sure to stay longer to enjoy all that there is to do there. The hotel is very closed to the Kii Tanabe Station and bus station, so it is very convenient to catch the early bus to Takajiri-oji to start the trekking. The room is clean and has laundry service (fees applied). We stayed at one of the rooms in early Summer which is the mosquito's season. We were bombarded by a few mosquitoes at night. It is perfectly located, right near the bus and train station. So you don't have to go far. I didn't enjoy breakfast, but there is a 7/11 at the train station.
