One of my favorite ski resorts in all of Japan is in Otari!!
One of my favorite ski resorts in all of Japan is in Otari!! Tsugaike Kogen. Gorgeous nature, awesome slopes, lots of shops nearby and the ski resort's infrastructure is great!! It is a small village.
It is a small village. There are only a few restaurants to choose from, so if you stayed here a week you would need a car or to take a taxi to eat at some new restaurants. It is close to the Taugaike gondola. We liked skiing Tsugaike and Iwatake because there were nice long runs without moguls connected to high speed lifts. I might stay in Exholand or near Happo-One and then plan on busing to either of these resorts. I’m an intermediate skier, but older and do not care for mogul skiing or real extreme conditions.Guest review byQuinn

It locates at the side of the beginner slope of Tsugaike Goen Ski and offers ski-in ski-out entrance and a dry room. Just note that if u ski down from the top, make sure the end-of-service time of romance lift. You have to climb a small 5 meters hill if u missed the last run of that lift and ski the beginner slope to the hotel. And sometimes the snow course to the hotel is too powdery and a beginner may lack of the ability to ski to the hotel.Guest review byMINGChina

My partner and I stayed there for 6 nights and had lunch at the restaurant every day because it was so good. It is also right next to the ski lifts, making it very convenient.
