    It was the most beautiful Japanese experience during my first week in Japan. The food was very tasty each and every time. The room was so quiet and warm, we slept very well. The view on the mountains was breathtaking. I loved the onsen experience. In the first day we saw the Gasho house museum just across the road from the hotel, and on the second day took the bus, which stops just outside the hotel, to Shirakawa-go. It was perfect experience.

    Staff at reception was very friendly and efficient. They even performed a song and dance in the evening even tho the hotel didn't have many guests. Rooms were nicely renovated and clean. Dinner and breakfast were adequate. Enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor baths. Good value for a very relaxing stay. Thank you to the staff at the hotel who contributed to a very pleasant stay.

    It was an extraordinary experience to stay in the training hall of the temple that the renovated in a hotel. The design was stunning and it was a great mix of modern and traditional japanese design. The breakfast was delicious. The host the most hospitable. And they even had a cute shop.

    An older style hotel, well used perhaps but clean and comfortable for all that. A restaurant in the hotel served an excellent evening meal (not in the room price) as well as a full Japanese breakfast included.
