I loved everything about this hotel! The location (close to the JR station), the food and public bath. We had breakfast at the hotel and the food was great with lots of healthy and variety of options. The staff was also very kind and helpful. Our room was average size for Japanese standards but it had everything we needed and was very clean. There’s also a laundry area with lots of washing machines and driers. The public baths very also very convenient and not busy at all. This was perfect for our stopover in Fuji area and to rest after some busy days. Couldn’t recommend more!

The property is very modern and welcoming. The staff were amazing and couldn’t be friendlier. The hotel has been refurbished last year and is a great space. We arrived early to check in and had a great conversation with staff members. The rooms have a fantastic view of Mount Fuji, it just depends on the weather which is to be expected!

    I travelled from Tokyo to Shin-Fuji via Kodama Shinkansen.

    I travelled from Tokyo to Shin-Fuji via Kodama Shinkansen. The fare is ¥5900 one way and travel time is nearly an hour. I stayed at Toyoko Inn which is 150 meters from the Shin Fuji station. There are lots of car rentals in the area but I was not able to get one as they only accept advance booking from their website. It took me 2 hours getting to and from the foot of Mt. Fuji, by bus and a 15 minute walk in the village to reach my destinations. Roads are quite narrow but they are common in Japan. Like most countryside places in Japan, Fuji is relatively clean, rich in nature, and lots of places to explore. My advice if you want to visit Fuji: 1. Travel by Shinkansen going to and from Fuji. 2. Rent a car so you can visit most of the attractions in and around Mt. Fuji. 3. Spend at leat 3-4 days in the area. 4. Bring cash with you always as most establishments are cash based. 5. Download Papago app on your phone so you can translate Japanese images, signs, etc if you're having difficulty understanding the language. That's it and enjoy your trip to Mt. Fuji.

    The hotel was very comfortable and reasonably priced. The rooms were well sound proofed, the beds very comfortable The staff very helpful. It was overall good value for money. The area around the hotel at first sight looks a bit seedy but actually is fine with some restaurants hidden away.

    We could not have wished for a more perfect view of Mt Fuji! The room was modest but very comfortable. A few “easy” and enjoyable restaurants within walking distance. Excellent service from the hotel staff. They could not have been more obliging.
