Sulmona ws a really nice, off the beaten path town to visit...
Sulmona ws a really nice, off the beaten path town to visit in Italy. It is the "home" of confetti, candied covered almonds, etc. We were able to tour museum factory where they have made these since the early 1700s. Their always seems an event in Sulmona which makes the visit extra special, the city has numerous restaurants and bars. I noticed a little bus, so perhaps now this meets the trains… However Roberto and Leonardo who run the hotel helped me enormously by collecting me from the station after I had been out with friends and dropping me off to catch the train to Rome.
