It's a short walk to the church and castle where the Battle of Solferino was fought and there's a monument to the Red Cross, which was founded here. There was a lovely concert in the church one of the evenings we stayed there. The host is outstandingly kind and caring, and we immediately felt at home. The hotel is beautifully located and offers stunning views. The pool is nice, calm and clean. The breakfast is delicious, fresh, generous, and a highlight of the day. The whole compound is nicely maintained and the children loved walking through the vineyards and feeding the donkeys.
