    Segni is a pleasant small town in the hills of Lazio.

    Segni is a pleasant small town in the hills of Lazio. The key things to see here are the megalithic walls, and all things Roman. The megalithic walls are amazing, if you like that sort of thing, and I do, you will the trek around the walls, up and down the hills. Here’s a hint, if you have a small car, you can move around and park and see a lot without as much walking/climbing/trekking as I did. Of course, driving there is another adventure on those steep, narrow roads. By all means, do not miss St Peter’s church on the acropolis. On one site you will see megalithic walls at the base, then Roman walls, then medieval structure. The back of this church reveals all of this history. No tourists here in late April, except for me. Nice people.

    The Albergo La Pace is a modern facility combined with an older building that is renovated. I stayed in the modern building in a single room. The price was very economical, and the room size was likewise small. The bathroom was very small. Very clean and comfortable. My bed was very firm, I prefer firm. The staff were all friendly and efficient, and the restaurant was really good, and made it easy to dine. The restaurant is large and hosts dinners for local groups and hotel groups. It was a nice place to stay .

    Great location in Segni. Beautiful and quiet. Close enough to my business to be convenient but far enough away I felt a break from the standard business trip. Staff was amazing. This was my second time staying at La Pace and they have treated me extremely well each time.
